Besides the well-known Hunger Site, you can also visit Pajacyk ("Wooden Puppet"), a program of Polska Akcja Humanitarna (PAH), the Polish Humanitarian Organization, for hungry and malnourished children in rural Poland (further information available in Polish, English, and possibly in Russian).

    United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization. (English, Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish.) FAO's mandate: "Achieving food security for all." (Food security means ready, ongoing access to high-quality, nutritious food.)
    United Nations World Food Programme. (English, Arabic, Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Icelandic, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Portuguese, Slovak, Spanish, Swedish.) Each year, the WFP feeds around 90 million people, many of them refugees, in 80 countries.

  • Human Milk Banks. Donor milk banks help to feed babies whose mothers cannot nurse them for medical reasons. See the Human Milk Banking Association of North America and the United Kingdom Association for Milk Banking. GIVE MILK: The International Breast Milk Project distributes breast milk donations from US mothers to orphaned babies in Africa.
