  • Craigslist. Has available housing notices for cities throughout the world.


  • Crisis Pregnancy Support. Listings on this page can advise and assist with emergency, short-term, and even long-term shelter. The Nurturing Network, for example, has volunteer households who will gladly take in pregnant women who need housing.


  • Disabled-Accessible Housing:
    Concrete Change.
    Independent Living Institute. (English, Swedish.) Has materials on housing for disabled persons, including materials on independent living and universal design (that is, the routine designing of products and services to accommodate the widest possible range of users, including people of diverse disabilities.)
    Living Care/Accomodation. Disabled person-accessible housing links from Planet Amber: Global Health and Disability Resource Center.


  • Habitat for Humanity International. Builds homes for people in poverty.


  • Homelessness:
    Homeless International. At least one in six human beings lives in a slum, known in Latin America as a favela and in parts of Africa as an informal settlement area. Partnership in 11 African and Asian countries to create and improve shelter for all.
    Homeless People and the Internet. Online self-help resources by and for homeless persons, many of whom access the Internet for free through public libraries.
